79, a resident of 610 Garfield Dr., Fayetteville, died Wednesday, November 14 at Autumn Care of Fayetteville. She was the daughter of the late James Hester and Minerva Harris Hester of Granville County. She was a retired registered nurse. She was a 1958 graduate of the former Mary Potter Academy.

She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Freeman; a daughter Yvette Freeman of Fayetteville; a son, William Anthony Freeman of Charlotte; three brothers, James Hester, Jr., Jasper Hester, and Ralph Hester all of Oxford; three sisters, Hallie Hester of Oxford, Shirley Ann White of Burlington, and Annette Reid of Wake Forest; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 19 at 12:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tolokum Omokunde and Rev. Tony Cozart. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park. A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, November 18 from 11:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
