Wydell Harris, 75, of 6213 Hwy 96 N, transitioned on Tuesday, March 25 at Duke University Hospital. He was born in Granville County to the late Haywood and Rosa Emma Thorpe Harris. He was formerly employed as a Maintenance Supervisor for Granville County Schools.

He is survived by his wife, Alma Hart Harris; one daughter, Lisa Smith Chavis of Oxford; three sisters, Annie Ruth Johnson, Barbara Fields, and Ida Marable all of Oxford and one brother, Haywood Harris of Oxford.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 pm, Sunday, March 30 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Meadowview Memorial Park. Viewing is scheduled for 1pm to 2pm Sunday.
