81, a resident of 4068 Lyn Street, transitioned on Friday July 4 at Veterans Hospital in Durham. He was a retired Cook Supervisor with State Institutions in Butner.

He is survived by his wife Mary Owens Henderson; two daughters, Renee Henderson of Tampa, FL and Candice Henderson of Charlotte; a sister and brother, Lucy Jones (Randy) of Springfield, MA and Toney Henderson (Evelyn) of Durham; and four grandchildren and two god-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 13 at 3pm at Ilong Baptist Church. Burial will be in Pettiford Grove Baptist Church. A viewing is scheduled for Saturday, July 12 from 5pm-7pm at Wright Funeral Home.
