64, a resident of 6695 Poplar Creek Road, died Sunday, Sept. 9 at Duke Medical Center for injuries received in a motor vehicle accident on August 19. He was the son of the late Willie Norris Perry and Mary Elizabeth Thorpe Perry. He was a former employee with the city if Oxford.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Pettiford Perry; five sons, Willie Perry, Jr., Andre' Perry, Charles Pettiford, Maurice Cates and Monta Cates all of Oxford; three sisters, JoAnn Allen of Henderson, Ella Cash and Antonia Perry both of Oxford; one brother, Otis Perry of Arlington, VA; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Sept. 17 at 2:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park. A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 16 from 11:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.. The family will receive visitors at 203 Alexander Avenue.
