71, a resident of 106 Webb Place, died Monday, November 5 at Rex Hospital. He was the son of the late Thee Thorpe, Sr. and Hazel Jones Thorpe. He was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by two daughters, Andrea Seward and Lisa Royster both of Oxford; three brothers, Thee Thorpe, Jr., Leroy Thorpe and James Thorpe all of Oxford; four sisters, Margaret Hargrove and Alma Wilkerson both of Oxford, Ernestine Smith, and Patricia Robinson both of Charlotte; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 10 at 3:00 P.M. at New Hope Granville Baptist Church by Rev. James Isaac III. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Friday, November 9 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at 5615 Tabbs Creek Church Road.
