79, a resident of 2535 George Winston Road, Bullock, died Friday, December 24 at his home. He was the son of the late Harry J. Royster and Julia Terry Royster. He was a retired Electomotive Mechanic with General Services Administration NCR.

He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Mattie Clark Royster;  three daughters, Monique Royster-Herriott (Donald) of Winston-Salem, Tami Royster, Largo, MD and Linda Terry of Alexandria, VA; two sons, William S. Royster, Jr. (Linda) of Capitol Heights, MD and Garciel Hill (Tonya) of White Plains, MD; five sisters, Mable Anita Brandon of Nashville, TN, Louise Smith of Clarksville, VA, Margaret Taylor of Oxford, Emma Ruth Marshall (James) of Burt, VA, and Patricia Plazola of Woodbridge, VA; three brothers, Franklin Hargrove (Tracie) of Williamsburg, VA, Harry J. Royster, Jr. (Valerie) of Durham and Howard Thompson of Henderson; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Dec. 31 at 1pm at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Zoar Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 30 from 4pm-6pm at Wright Funeral Home. Services will be limited to fifty attendees selected by the family. Covid-19 protocols of facial coverings and social distancing of six feet or more will be observed at all services.
