55, a resident of the Bronx, New York, died Friday, July 13 at his home. He was a native of Granville County, the son of Christine Greene Floyd of Oxford and the late William E. Alston. He was employed with the United States Postal Service.

Other survivors include his wife, Toni Quick Alston; two Brothers. Rev. Asa Demiese of Oxford and Ernest Alston of Henderson; and five sisters, Cynthia Williams and June Perry both of Henderson, Pamela Bolds, Shantay Smith and Annette Hawkins all of the Bronx, New York.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 4 at 1:00 P.M. at Red Bud Baptist Church by Rev. Asa Demiese. Burial will be in Hawkins Chapel Baptist Church. A viewing is scheduled for Friday, August 3 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
