70, a resident of 836 Tungsten Mine Road, Bullock, died Thursday, December 7 at Duke University Hospital.  He was the son of the late James Fields and Leolia Daniels Fields.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Smith Fields; two daughters, Lakeesha Fields Robertson of Durham, NC and Oneshia Fields of Townsville, NC;  two brothers, Samuel Fields and Chester Fields both of Oxford; three sisters, Priscilla Smith, Annie White and Celia Fields all of Oxford;  and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home by Reverend Marvin Harris.  Burial will be at Meadowview Memorial Park.  A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, December 10 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home.  FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
