63, a resident of 4016 W. Antioch Drive, died Saturday, August 27 at his home. He was the son of the late James A. McMannen, Jr. and Henrietta Bailey McMannen. He was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by two sons, James A. McMannen-Hutcheson of Raleigh and Rashaad Jamarr McMannen of Columbia, SC; a daughter, Shameeka Renae' Dixon of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Geraldine M. Andrews of Hillside, NJ; a brother, Larry McMannen of Wilmington; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 2 at Wright Funeral Home with Military Honors at St. Semeons Cemetery in the Satterwhite community.
