Thomas Allen, Jr, 91, of Tanner Town Rd. Brodnax, VA transitioned on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA. He was born in Granville County to the late Thomas and Mary Willie Cooper Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Daye Allen; two sons: Melvin Allen of Brodnax, VA, Billy Allen of Pottstown, PA; three daughters: Deborah Beyah (Amin) of Durham, Juanita Odom-Tisdale (John) of Kenbridge, VA, and Crystal Williams (Jermaine) of Durham; siblings: Lucy Sanford (John) of Butner, Minnie Vincent of Lancaster, PA, Virginia Ruffin of York, PA and Geraldine June (Franklin) of Mitchellville, MD; one brother, Bobby Allen of Henderson; 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 am, Wednesday, November 5, at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens in Stem. Viewing will be 30 minutes prior to the service.
