92, a resident of 402 Dunstan Ave., died Saturday, Oct. 22 at Duke Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Garland Brower and Lena Jo House Brower of Moore County.
She is survived by a daughter, Judith H. Quick of Atlanta, GA; two sons, Lonnie D. Hall of Stone Mountain, GA and Larry D. Hall of Durham; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
She was a cosmetologist and a realtor. She was one of the founding members of the Durham Business and Professional Chain, a member of Hillside High School class of 1943 Club, Today's Woman Organization, The United Order of Tents, The National Council of Negro Women and the Women's Home and Overseas Missionary Society.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Oct. 28 at 1:00 P.M. at Kyle's Temple AME Zion Church, 409 Dunstan Ave., in Durham by Rev. Anthony Ford and Rev. Lorenzer Johnson. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to services at the church. A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 27 from 11:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
