78, a resident of 3672 W. Antioch Drive, died Wednesday, April 29 at his home. He was the son of the late Cavaster Downey and Nannie Mae Smith Downey.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lyons Downey; four sisters, Novis Twine of Oxford, Geraldine Boydton, Francis Robinson, and Connie Downey, all of Asbury Park, NJ; and a brother, Cavaster Downey, Jr., of Oxford.

Rev. Leroy Anderson will conduct a graveside service (limited to 50 people with social distancing of six feet) Sunday May 3, at 1:00 P.M. at Meadowview Memorial Park.
