Shirley Baskerville Talley, 78, of Oxford, transitioned on October 31, 2026 at Granville Medical Center. She was born in Vance County to the late Leon and Fannie Jones Baskerville.

She is survived by four daughters: Cassandra Mobley (Anthony) of Oxford, Allis Talley Burton (Herbert) of Wake Forest, Shaneka Talley Miles (Darrick) and Shameka Talley Cheek (Jamie) both of Henderson; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Larry Baskerville, Elza Parham (Donald), Bernardine Hendrick (Thurman), James Baskerville and Fabian Freeman all of Henderson, and Annette Baskerville of Virginia.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm, Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Davis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (742 N. Chestnut St, Henderson, NC 27536). Burial will follow in Blacknall Cemetery. Viewing will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
