Sherman "Footie" Gregory Jr, 72, of Greentree Circle transitioned on September 2, 2025 at Franklin Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in Louisburg. He was born in Granville County to the late Sherman Gregory Sr and Mary Helen Webb Gregory.

He is survived by a daughter, Vonda Marsh (Ahmed) of Franklinton; and four sisters: Rev. Mary Greene (Charlie) of Oxford, Evelyn Harris (John) of Stovall, Pearlene Webb of E. Orange, NJ, and Christine Hearn of Seattle, WA.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 pm, Saturday, September 13 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend James Allen officiating. There will be no public viewing.
