61, a resident of 1405 Warden Street in Elizabeth City, died Thursday, March 2 at his home. He was the son of the late Brodie Poole and Sallie Warren Poole. He was a retired SFC with the United States Army where he received many, many medals and awards for honorable service to his country.

He is survived by a daughter, Alexanderia Poole of Houston, TX; six sisters, LaVerta P. Cooper of Oxford, Brenda Poole of Hampton, VA, LaRessa Poole of Washington, DC, Patricia Felder of Concord, Regina P. Chambers and Sonja Poole both of Raleigh; four brothers, Warren Poole of Timberlake, John Poole of Henderson, Brodie Poole of Durham and Reginald Poole of Hampton, VA.

A memorial service with full military honors will be held Tuesday, March 7 at 1:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend James Issac III. Entombment will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.
