Ruth Rose Parker, 100, of Highway 15, Creedmoor, transitioned on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at her residence. She was born in Granville County to the late Hezekiah and Moses Ella Parker. She was a former Cafeteria Manager for Granville County Schools.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm, Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor. Family Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday at Wright Funeral Home Chapel.

She is survived by one daughter, Nola Chavis of Chapel Hill; one granddaughter, Quincia Oliver of Oxford; two great-grandchildren; life partner, John W. Wimbush of Butner; three sisters: Annie F. Parker and Jessie Smith both of Creedmoor and Hazel Laws of Mebane. She was preceded in death by a brother, Barry L. Parker.
