Ruby G. Thornton, 90, a resident of Brantwood Nursing Center, transitioned on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Brantwood Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late Colonel Lee Harris and Gladys Daniel. She was a member of New Hope Granville Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet McKelvey of Lubbock, TX and Garnet Hall of Maplewood, NJ; and a son, Garland Thornton of Mount Laurel, NJ; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren

Pastor Brenda Timberlake will conduct services Saturday, January 4, at 12pm at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the New Hope Granville Baptist Church cemetery. A viewing will be held two hours prior to services at the funeral home..
