85, a resident of 1024 Bane Ave., died Thursday, Dec. 15 at Duke Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Foster and Lucy Thomas Foster.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Harris of the home and a sister, Betty Jean Alston of Henderson.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Dec. 19 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Spotswood Burwell, Jr. Burial was in Mitchell CHapel Baptist Church cemetery. A viewing was held Sunday, Dec. 18 from 11:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
