75, a resident of 5513 Antioch Road, died Tuesday, February 12 at his home. He was the son of the late Robert Louis Evans and Mattie Lou Spruill. He was a retired employee of Central Regional Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Downey Wright; three daughters, Barbara Evans of Creedmoor, Mary Wright and Jackie Jones both of Raleigh; three sons, Larry Downey of Baltimore, MD, Robert Sanford of Durham and Roy Wright, Jr. of Wilson; five sisters, Pam Evans of Charlotte, Niecey Evans of Raleigh, Teresa Evans of Oxford, Barbara Jean Clack of South Boston, VA, Pattie Spruill of Clarksville, VA; five brothers, Wayne Evans of Charlotte, Larry Spruill of Clarksville, VA, MacLeonard Spruill of McLean, TX, Richard Spruill of the Phillipines, and John Henry Spruill of Salem, VA; fifteen grandchildren;  and fourteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 17 at 1:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Bishop Myron Henderson. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park. A viewing is scheduled for Saturday, February 16 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
