73, a former resident of Vance County, died Friday, Oct. 21 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville. He was the son of the late Roy Fleming, Sr. and Mary Terry Fleming of Richmond, VA.

He is survived by his wife, Ella Strong Fleming; five children, Tyhe'm Fleming of MA, Terron Fleming of NY, Kanika Powell (Steve) of Wake Forest, Roy Alexander Fleming (fiancee Charrise Pollock) of Chesapeake, VA, and Nicole Collins (James) of Fayetteville;; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Gina Moore (Ralph) of Athens, NY; sister-in-law, Temple-Jene Fleming of NJ; uncle, Jaycee Fleming of Richmond, VA; aunt, Cordelia Capers of Richmond, VA; and a vast number of nieces, nephews other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Oct. 28 at 2pm at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens in Vance County. Covid-19 protocols of fifty attendees (selected by the family), facial coverings, and social distancing of six feet or more will be observed. Public viewing will began Friday morning at 10am. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to services. Services will be live-streamed with the Link becoming available here Friday morning.
