75, a resident of 210 Peace Street, transitioned Friday, July 12 at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson. He was the son of the late Stanford Hammie and Catherine Turner Hammie.

He is survived by two daughters, Dawn Hammie-Powe of Patrick, Sc, and Candice Phillips of Wilkesboro, NC and Tymar Outlaw of New Haven, CT; two sons, Shawn Hammie and Tymar Outlaw both of New haven, CT; two brothers, Charles "Chuck" Hammie of West Haven, CT and Lonnie Hammie of Oxford; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, August 3 at 11:00 am at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. There will be no public viewing. Face masks are not mandatory - BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
