83, a resident of 4001 Meriweather Dr. Durham, died Tuesday, Feb. 8 at UNC Hospital. He was the son of the late Milton Blalock and Annie Lou Young.

He is survived by eight children, Robert M. Blalock, Jr. of Syracuse, NY, Steven M. Blalock (Leyanne) of the home, Christopher R. Blalock (Stephanie) of Durham, Kenneth Blalock of Queens, NY, Capacine Blalock of Bronx, NY, Patricia Yarborough and Theresa Foster (James) both of Hampton, VA, and Collietha Hawley of Durham; twenty grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 12 on the grounds of Wright Funeral Home by Rev. Keshon Blue.
