Robert A. Baynard, 84, of Hillard Road, Louisburg, transitioned on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Transitions Lifecare in Raleigh. He was born in Baltimore, MD to the late George William Baynard and Virginia Johnson Baynard.

He is survived by two daughters: April Baynard-Marcano of Franklinton, and Monique Brown of Baltimore, MD; stepdaughter Donnetta Davis of Louisburg; stepson, Carey Cheek of Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11am, Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Rowland Chapel Christian Church (2293 Epsom-Rocky Ford Rd, Henderson, NC 27537). Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
