49, a resident of 130 Maluli Dr., died Monday, Dec. 25 at Granville Medical Center. He was the son of James O. Short and Ernestine Manley Short of Winterville.

Other survivors include three sons, Terrell M. Clark, Ricardo Straughter (Emily) and Ezekiel Banks; two grandchildren; a sister, Veronica L. Jegels (Harold); a brother, James A. Short; four nephews; one niece; many uncles and aunts; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, January 6 at 12:30 P.M. at Vision Casters, 5920 Old Tar Road, Winterville, NC 28590 by Pastor Rusty Dixon. The family suggests as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions be sent to his children through Vision Caster in care of Veronica Short Jegels or sent to her via PayPal.
