Reverend Virginia Belle Macon Vance, 88, a Vance County native, transitioned on July 8, 2025 at Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of the late Deacon Samuel and India Allen Macon.

She is survived by her daughters, Locksley Harper and Gwendolyn Harper both of New York; two bonus daughters, Karen Isaacs and Cheryl Harper; two granddaughters, Niquelle Orr and Elan Orr; and four sisters: India M. Bullock of Henderson, Mary M. Jackson of Middleburg, Lena M. Henderson (John) of Henderson and Ruth Nance of Middleburg; and a host of nieces, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm, Saturday, July 19 at Rowland Chapel Christian Church (2293 Epsom-Rocky Ford Rd, Henderson, NC 27537). Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be 2 hours prior to the service at the church.
