94, a resident of 409 Henderson Street, died Monday, March 23 at Granville Medical Center. He was the son of the Late Moses Hunt and Georgianna Owens Hunt. He was a member of Greater New Hope Baptist Church where he served on the Board of Deacons. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by three daughters, Margaret Leatherberry of Durham, Linda Harris of Morristown, NJ, and Juanita Hunt of Oxford; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 28 at 1:00 P.M. at Greater New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Spotswood Burwell, Jr. A viewing is scheduled for Friday, March 27 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the residence of Juanita Hunt, 313 Granville Street. Corona Virus protocol requires that public gatherings be restricted to 50 persons or less.
