71, a resident of 613 Dunbar St., Durham, died Wednesday, July 26 at Duke University Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Ed Allen, Sr. and Beulah Bullock Allen.

She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Allen of the home; fourteen siblings: Catherine Williams of Henderson, Ed Allen, Jr. of Oxford, Magdalene Venable of Elizabeth, NJ, Queen Venable of Oxford, Viola Venable of Durham, Crawford Allen of Union, NJ, Jannie Fields of Oxford, Elouise Terry of Chesapeake, VA, Marvin Allen of Oxford, Calvin Allen of Oxford, Stanley Allen of Claremont, FL, Phillip Allen  and Lucinda Allen-Goss both of Oxford; and Wayne Allen of Kernersville a granddaughter, Chelsea Allen of Durham; and a great grandson, Thomas Allen-Traylor of Durham.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 30 at 2pm at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Terry L. Taylor. Burial will be in Huntsville Baptist Church cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Saturday, July 29 from 5pm-7pm at Wright Funeral Home. Covid-19 precautions of facial coverings and social distancing of six feet or more will be required.
