71, a resident of 9430 Feldvank Dr., Charlotte, transitioned Saturday, June 15 at Nuvant Health Hospital in Huntersville. He was the son of the late4 Samuel Daye, Sr. and Catherine boone Daye.

He is survived by his wife, Carole Perry Daye; seven daughters Tamar Daye and Til Daye both of Charlotte, Siyonka Braswell, Ebony Daye, Kysionia Daye and Tabatha McBroom all od Durham; three brothers, Wayne Daye, Demetrious Day and James Daye all od Charlotte; and twelve grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 20 at 2pm at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ronnie Green. Burial will be in the Daye Family cemetery in the Brians Hill community. A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, June 19 from 5pm-6pm at Wright Funeral Home. Masks are not required but are highly recommended.
