58, a resident of 1654 Enon Road, died Wednesday, October 19 at his home. He was the son of the late Richard Sanford and Laura Morgan Sanford.

At an early age he joined the Only Way Church of Christ under the late Bishop Clinton Winston. He was a 1984 graduate of South Granville High School and was employed with ATHOL Textiles in Butner until its closing.

He is survived by a daughter and son, Paris F. Wilson of Henderson, and Christopher D. Wilson of Oxford; two granddaughters, Mychaela and Serenity; four siblings, Terry L. Sanford (Candice) of Franklinton, Teresa Sanford of Oxford, Delton Sanford (Carrie) of Wake Forest, and Jesse Sanford, Oxford; two uncles, John W. Sanford (Lucy Mae) of Butner, and Isaac Sanford of Oxford; a very special aunt, Alice M. Sanford of Oxford; several nieces and nephews; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark.

A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 22 at 2pm at Only Way Church of Christ on Shock Overton Road by the pastor, Bishop James Daniel. A viewing is scheduled for one hour prior to services. Wright Funeral Home is assisting the family.
