83, a resident of 428 N. Chestnut Street, died Monday, July 19 at Duke Hospice. He was the son of the late Paul Giddings, Sr. and Frances Craig Giddings of Vineland, NJ. He was Deacon Emeritus at New Restoration Community Church.

He is survived by five daughters, Erainer Stewart (Jody) of Winston-Salem, NC, Pauline Boyd (Elijah) of Durham, NC, Gina Burks (Bishop Sandy T.) Christine Cooper (Blaine) and Samantha Welch (Jesse, Sr.) all of Henderson, NC; two sons, Nelson Giddings of Henderson and David Giddings of Northumberland, PA; an adopted son, Corbin Fobbs of Philadelphia, PA; eighteen grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren; a vast number of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 23 at 3pm at New Restoration Community Church by Bishop Sandy T. Burks and Bishop Cranford Davis, Burial will be in Sunset Gardens.
