83, a native of Granville County, died Wednesday, April 28 in Arlington, VA. He was the son of the late Patrick Lewis and Polly Johnson Lewis. He was a former long-time employee of Arlington County.

He is survived by his wife, Adreanne B. Lewis; two daughters, Gloria H. Shaw (Thomas) and Shirley J. Bracy both of Durham; two sons, Larry Connell Williams of Richmond, VA and Henry Hart (Leoncie) of Oxford; his sister, Lucille Hargrove (James) of Bullock; eleven grandchildren, Koteta Holman (Victor), Carlos Cooper, Hassan Breeden and Joseph Stroud all of Durham, William Cooper of Chapel Hill, Nakisha Mangum of Sicklerville, NJ, Andre Hart, Aylanna Hart, Adherence Barnette all of Oxford, Natasha Shaw and Shun Shaw both of Cary; a brother-in-law, Johnny Brisco; a sister-in-law, Betty Jean Brisco; a vast number of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and caring friends. He was predeceased by two grandchildren, Otis Breeden and Adrian Green.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 6 with a visitation beginning at 10:00am at Mount Salvation Baptist Church, 1960 N. Culpepper Street, Arlington, VA 22207. The private funeral service will begin at 12:00pm. Rev. Stephen Hargrove will conduct a graveside service, Saturday, May 8 at 1:00pm at Baptist Grove Baptist Church. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the cemetery.
