Norris Cheatham, 70, of 410 Person Street transitioned Sunday, September 14, 2025 at his residence. He was born in New York to the late Asbury and Mary Johnson Cheatham.

He survived by his wife Shirley Crews Cheatham; two daughters: Latonia Cheatham Strickland of Ashburn, VA and Shavonne D. Cheatham of Oxford; six grandchildren, one brother, Joseph  Cheatham (Amara) of Oxford and one sister, Glynnis Ross of MD.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm, Friday, September 19 at Ilong Baptist Church ( 4043 Fairport Rd, Kittrell, NC 27544). Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 5pm to 7pm Thursday, at Wright Funeral Home.
