76, a resident of 821 Eastside Drive, died Sunday, July 31 at Maria Parham Medical Center. He was the son of the late Milton Fields and Beatrice Winston Fields of Granville County. He was a thirty year veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Bracey Fields; and his son, Arnold Fields, Jr. of Henderson.

A graveside service with full military honors will be conducted Friday, August 5 at Sunset Gardens cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, August 4 from 4pm-6pm at Wright Funeral Home. Covid-19 protocols of facial coverings and social distancing of six feet or more will be observed.
