77, a resident of Durham, died Saturday, August 1. SHe was the daughter of the late Lucious Hawley and Lizzie Day Hawley.

She attended Little River High School, and at an early age became a member of Siloam Baptist Church in Rougemont.

She is survived by two sons, Anthony Louis Green and Lee Ernest Green both of Durham; three grandchildren, Chandler Green (Helena), Jeremy Green and Alexis Green; a great grandchild, Amara Green; a sister Lucy Alston (Tony) of Durham; an uncle, Ellis Hawley of Oxford; two nephews, William Nixon (Shamina) and Preston Lee Pettiford.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.
