55, a resident of 403 Sycamore Street, died Sunday, October 7 at his home. He was the son of Jerome Stainback and Josephine Williams Stainback. He was an employee of Edgecombe County Youth Detention Center.

He is survived by his wife, Ursula Hunter Stainback; a son and daughter, Chriistian Stainback of Brooklyn, NY and Trinity Stainback of Rolesville; his parents, Jerome Stainback and Josephine Williams Stainback of Oxford; a sister and brother, Serena Arrington and Charles Stainback both of Oxford.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 11 at 2:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Bishop Thomas Daniel and Pastor David Morton. Burial will be in Only Way Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, October 10 from 7-8 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home and at other times at 4053 Dooster Street. Viewing will begin Wednesday at 11:00 A.M.
