69, a resident of 329 7th Street, Wake Forest, died Sunday, August 22 at his home. He was the son of the late Joseph Mingo and Ruth Strother Mingo of Jersey City, NJ; He was a retired employee of the United States Postal System and a veteran of the United States Army and Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Jones Mingo; a step-daughter, Kirsten Jackson; a grandson, Josiah Williams of North Carolina; a brother, Ernest Richard Mingo (Priscilla) of Ohio; two nieces, Dyna (Karsten) and Kisha all of New Jersey; a nephew, Richard, Jr. of Ohio; his mother-in-law Ida Paschall Jones of Oxford; three brothers-in-law, Ralph Jones (Gloria), Kevin Jones (Shevette), and Louis Jones all of Oxford; a sister-in-law, Ellen Lindsey also of Oxford; a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. He was also predeceased by a brother, Joseph Mingo, Jr. and his former wife, Renee Mingo.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, August 27 at 11am at Meadowview Memorial Park by Rev. William Booth. A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, August 26 from 4pm-6pm at Wright Funeral Home. All services will observe Covid-19 Protocols od facial coverings and social distancing of six feet or more.
