79, a resident of 155 Mindy Lane, Henderson, died Thursday, Feb. 17 at Maria Parham Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Roosevelt Peace and Nancy Esther Williams Peace. She was a former seamstress with Royal Home Fashions.

She is survived by her husband, Lou Perry Thornton; three daughters, Esther Estes, Doris Harris and Mary Overby all of Henderson; two sons, Silas Harris, Jr. of Henderson; and Willie Mack Harris of Georgia; twelve grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 1pm at Blacknell Cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 21 from 4pm-6pm at Wright Funeral Home. Covid-19 protocols of facial coverings and social distancing of six feet or more will be observed.

The family will receive visitors at 65 Regina Lane.
