85, a resident of 105 Knowles Street, died Thursday Sept. 19 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Theodore Taylor, Sr. and Willie Mae Owens, and the widow of the late Deacon Joseph Lindsey.

She is survived by a son and daughter, Joseph McKinsley Lindsey, Jr. of the home, and Dorothy Lindsey McKnight of Oxford; three sisters, Scarlet Patterson (Leroy) of Kittrell, Dorothy Jean Cooper (David) and Martha Pauline Richburg both of Henderson; a brother, James Hoover Owens of Stovall; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 1:00 P.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Charles Bullock. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
