82, a resident of 114 Raliroad Avenue, died Saturday, January 16 at Pruitt Health Hospice. She was the daughter of the late Freely Jones and Addie Lee Overby.

She was a 1956 graduate of the former Mary Potter Academy. She had a thirty-two year career at the Defense Logistics Agency within the Federal Government where she was the recipient of many distinguished awards. She was a member of New Grassy Creek Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess and a member of the Senior Choir.

In addition to her parents and her husband, the late Deacon Robert Kilgore, she was predeceased by  three sisters, Rosa Royster Bolling, Eardine Royster and Lillian Hutcherson and a brother, John T. Hutcherson.

She is survived by four sisters, Katie Mae Jones of Baltimore, MD, Linda Hutcherson, Annie M. Thomas and Priscilla H. Johnson all of Philadelphia, PA; a brother, William Hutcherson of Michigan; four nephews, Roger Royster of Hillside, NJ, Wayne Thomas and Carl Johnson both of Philadelphia, PA and Gregory Thomas of Richmond, VA; four nieces, Stacey Steward, Dashawn Ladson, Tanaka Johnson all of Philadelphia, PA, and Tina Battle of Oxford; three aunts, Joyce McEachearn of Oxford, Barbara Hickory of Reno, NV and Catherine Jones of Petersburg, VA; a special; devoted and loving cousin and caretaker, Barbara Jean Downey of Oxford.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 23 at 1:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ellis Strong and Rev. Darryl T. Howard (services limited to fifty attendees with face coverings and social distancing). Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.
