58, a resident of 1526 Southwood Drive, died Monday, Nov. 14 at Duke Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Pinson and Mary Frances Rivers Pinson of Murray County, GA.

She was a former educator with Pearsontown, C. C. Spaulding and W. G. Spaulding Elementary Schools. She was a member of The Church of the Abiding Savior and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Hall; two daughters, LaToya Hall of Charlotte, NC and Jessica Duarte of Las Vegas, NV; a sister, Verna Lewandowski of Sharpsburg, GA; a brother, Thomas Pinson of Dalton, GA; and four grandchildren.

Rev. Tim Taylor will conduct a memorial service Friday, Nov. 18 at 1:00 P.M. at The Church of the Abiding Savior, 1625 S. Alston Ave. in Durham, NC. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to services at the church. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will render the "Ivy Behind the Wall" Memorial service Thursday, Nov. 17 at 7:00 P.M. also at The Church of the Abiding Savior. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the MS Society and Today's Woman Scholarship Fund.
