74, a resident of 137 Webb Place, died Monday at Duke Medical Center in Durham. She was the daughter of the late Willie Yancey and Hattie Ann Howard Mitchell.

She is survived by five daughters, Marilyn Struzziery of Boones Mill, VA, Vikki Allen of Durham, Mikki Allen-Thompson of Montclair, NJ, Marietta Black and Pamela Williams both of Oxford; two sons, Walter Black, Jr and Davey Allen both of Oxford; one sister, Sophia Roberts of East Orange, NJ; two brothers, Ororn Mitchell and Donald Mitchell both of oxford; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 10 at 1:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral home Chapel by Rev. Derrick Horton. A viewing will be held Friday, Oct. 9, from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.
