85, a resident of 607 28th Street, Butner, died Thursday, January 31 at Duke Hospice in Durham. She was the daughter of the late James Goss and Anna Lou Laws Goss. She was a retired employee of John Umstead Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, William Allen; two daughters, Cheryl "Annette" Allen and Maria "Yvette" Allen both of Butner; two sisters, Katie Tanner of Butner, and Shirley Alexander of Raleigh; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 4 at 2:00 P.M. at Union Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Harold Trice. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens. A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, February 3 from 11:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
