Margie Cotton Hunt, 96, of 108 Chelsea Street, transitioned Saturday, May 31 at her residence. She was born in Dinwiddie, VA to the late Carrie Smith Cotton and George Cotton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm, Tuesday, June 3 at Oak Grove Baptist Church (2213 Enon Rd, Oxford, NC 27565). Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing is scheduled for 4pm to 6pm Monday at Wright Funeral Home Chapel.

She is survived by a son Deacon Donald L. Hunt, Sr (Delores) of Oxford and a daughter Reverend Peggie H. Cooper of Oxford; four sisters: Mozell Owens of Stovall, Norvara Williams of Greensboro, Judy Burwell of Oxford, Vivian Herndon of Greensboro, and three grandchildren.
