89, a resident of 601 26th Street in Butner, died Tuesday, April 3 at Duke Medical Center. He was the son of the late Emmanuel Timberlake and Helen Bullock Timberlake. He was the former pastor of several area churches including Oak Grove Baptist Church and Olive Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by six children, Linwood Timberlake, Calvin Timberlake and Donald Timberlake all of Stem, Joan Watson of Brandywine, MD, Delores Timberlake of Charlotte and Gloria Jackson of Raleigh; a sister and brother, Lillie Burt and Jesse Timberlake both of Durham; twenty grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a vast number of other loving relatives, caring friends, and a multitude of faithful and appreciative parishioners

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 8 at 2:00 P.M. at Christian Faith Center. Burial will be Monday, April 9 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Grove Memorial Cemetery in Durham. The family will receive visitors at 12:30 P.M. Sunday, prior to services at the church. A viewing is scheduled for Saturday, April 7 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
