Louise Thorpe's Obituary
73, a native of Granville County, and a resident of Brooklyn, NY, died Wednesday, June 15 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of the late Robert Thorpe, Sr. and Maranda Smith Thorpe.
She was a graduate of the former Mary Potter Academy.
She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Elliott of the home; a sister, Virginia Thorpe of Oxford; a brother, Rev. Ned Thorpe of Chapel Hill; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 24, at 2:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ned Thorpe. Burial will be in New Hope Granville Baptist Church cemetery. No public viewing is planned. The family will receive visitors at 203 Alexander Avenue.
