Louis Edward Cozart, 85, of East E. Street, Butner, passed away on March 1, 2025 at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham. He was born in Granville County to the late Carl and Ruzie Lyons Cozart.

He is survived by his children: Pamela LeGrande (Donnie) of Butner, Carlton Cozart (Gretta) of Alabama, Laquitia Cozart of Kernersville, Fernandus Cozart of Butner, Nicole Cozart of Raleigh, Margaret Wright of Durham, Ashley Cozart of Gastonia, Julia Cozart of Gastonia, Sue'von Moncrief of Durham, Lutarsh Cozart of Butner and Tomeka Cozart of Tulsa, OK; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one brother, Harvey Cozart of Butner, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm, Friday, March 7 at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 102 Moss Rd, Creedmoor, NC 27522. A viewing is scheduled for 6pm - 8pm, Thursday at Wright Funeral Home.
