Lisa Ann Watkins Ragland, 56, of 7026 US Highway 15 N., transitioned on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham. She was born on January 21, 1968, in Baltimore, Maryland to Rochelle Pettiford Watkins and the late James Watkins, Sr.

Lisa graduated from J.F. Webb High School in Oxford, NC, and continued her education at Vance-Granville Community College, where she completed several courses. She was deeply passionate about her work and dedicated many years to serving others. Lisa worked at Murdoch Developmental Center in Butner, NC, before continuing her career at P&W Day Services in Henderson, NC, until her health declined.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Dennis Ragland of the home; her loving mother, Rochelle Watkins of Oxford, NC; two sisters, Georgia "Darlene" Watkins of Oxford, NC and Selina Liddell of Savannah, GA; one brother, James Watkins Jr. of Oxford, NC; and one step-daughter, Frankie Brooks of Roxboro, NC.

Lisa's warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her..

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm, Tuesday, December 24 in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home. Viewing is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 23 from 4 to 6 pm at Wright Funeral Home.
