95, the daughter of the late Lucious D. Hayes and Pearlie Bass Hayes of Person County, died Saturday, July 13 at Universal Healthcare. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church where she was a former member of the Senior Choir, Missionary Circle and a Deaconess.

She is survived by two sons, James Donnell Bass (Dorothy) of Roughmont, and Reginald T. Bass (Vicki) of Stonebridge, GA; two daughters, Brenda M. Bass and Amelia L. Owens (Rodney) both of Durham; two sisters, Thelma Thornton (Tom), and Zelma Thornton (James) both of Oxford; a brother-in-law, Herman Green of Roxboro; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Hayes of Durham; a host of grandchildren; other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 19 at 2:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Wayne Johnson. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park. A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, July 18 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the residence of Tom and Thelma Thornton, 3659 West Antioch Drive.
