79, a resident of 2844 Charlie Grissom Road, Kittrell, died Thursday, June 2 at his home. He was the son of the late Paxton Bartlett and Sarah Reese Bartlett of Pasquotank County. He was a retired educator and renowned organist. He was the husband of the late Victoria Peace Bartlett who died in November of 2021.

He is survived by two sons, Marcus Bartlett (Phylise) of High Point, and Elder Antonio Bartlett (Michelle) of Greensboro; a brother and sister, Lennard Bartlett and Catherine Bunch both of Elizabeth City; and four grandchildren.

His son, Elder Antonio Bartlett will conduct funeral services Wednesday, June 8 at 1pm at Spring Street Baptist Church in Henderson. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Henderson. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 7 from 5pm-8pm at Wright Funeral Home. The family request that attendees adhere to Covid-19 protocols of facial coverings and social distancing of six feet or more.
