Laurie Antionette Hunt, 61, of Griles Street, Roxboro, transitioned Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Duke Hock Family Pavilion in Durham. She was born in Granville County to Essie Hunt Wilkerson and the late Thurman Cooper.

She is survived by three children: Rashaad Hunt of Roxboro, Rashelle Hunt and Rashaun Hunt both of Durham; her mother, Essie Wilkerson of Oxford; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 pm Monday, April 20, 2026, at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be from 4pm to 6 pm, Sunday, April 19 at Wright Funeral Home.
